At the District Council elections in May 2023, Tiverton and Honiton Liberal Democrats had one of the party’s best set of local election results that year. Achieving more than 20 gains across Mid Devon and East Devon District Councils.
Lib Dem HQ leaflet templates helped with that success.
For those elections, I supported Tiverton and Honiton Liberal Democrats with leaflets for 29 candidates across the two Councils.
I believe using templates made a significant difference to the success of the campaign because of the number of leaflets it was possible to produce in a short space of time.

- All the layout heavy lifting work is done for you, which can be time consuming when you have a lot of leaflets to produce and the clock is ticking.
- The layouts are good, and allow a consistent look.
- They are based on tried and tested themes.
- Crucially, the time saved on creating layouts, allows you to spend more time crafting your message to make the leaflets as effective as possible.
Having produced leaflets for ‘all up’ Council elections from scratch and using Campaigns Department templates, I would definitely recommend using HQ templates for the reasons above.
Especially where an election is close because the extra leaflets you can produce in the time saved could well be the difference between winning and losing.
